Diagnosis & Treatment of all cancers of Oral & Neck

To diagnose oral and neck cancers, doctor will first perform a physical exam.

In the procedure, doctor will closely examine the roof and floor of the patient’s mouth. Back of the throat, tongue, cheeks, and lymph nodes in patient’s neck will be also properly examined by the doctor. If any tumors or growths, or suspicious lesions are found in the diagnosis procedure, then doctor will perform biopsy procedure. Biopsy is the process in which removal of tissue for testing is done. Apart from that other tests may be also done such as x-rays, PET scan, CT scan, MRI scan and endoscopy. Treatment will be done by various methods such as surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, nutrition and keeping mouth healthy.
